Edward (Steve) Podoll
I was born and raised on the westside Colorado Springs along with five siblings. After graduating high school, I worked for the City of Colorado Springs for 30 years; 10 of which were spent doing street maintenance, and the remaining years spent as an engineering inspector before retiring. I moved to the Falcon area in 1983. I am married with children and grandchildren.
I ran for the Board of Directors position so that I can share and contribute to the Community and Fire Protection District. Having lived in the community since 1983, I have experienced the growth impacting the community. I believe my working with the City of Colorado Springs, where I witnessed firsthand the impact the growth has on disciplines such as the Fire District, would help provide insight to our community’s needs.
I have sat on and participated in many committees during my working career. I have been on the Board of Directors for the Falcon area sportsman’s club and currently serve on the Board of Directors for the International Order of the Rocky Mountain Goat, which is a conservational organization. I was part of the Falcon Fire Protection District’s Public Safety Task Force advisory committee for the implementation of Ambulance Services and Operational capacity additions in 2018.
I believe my life and work experiences, coupled with my strong work ethics, can bring value to the Board.
